Welcome to the Home Builders Association of San Angelo (HBASA) ("HBASA," "we," "our," or "us"). We are a nonprofit trade association committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website [Insert Website URL] or interact with our membership platform.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the site.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you apply for or manage membership, register for events, subscribe to communications, complete forms on our website, or make payments. The personal information we collect may include your name, email address, phone number, company or employer information, billing address, and payment details, which are processed securely through third-party providers.

We may also collect non-personal information automatically, including but not limited to your IP address, browser type, device information, domain names, access times, referring website addresses, pages visited, time spent on the site, and general navigation behavior. Our servers may automatically log your IP address and related data when you access the website. We use the information we collect to manage memberships and provide member services, process payments and renewals, communicate with you about events, updates, and benefits, improve our website and user experience, send newsletters and marketing communications (with the option to opt out at any time), respond to inquiries, and maintain internal administrative records. We may also use tools such as Google Analytics to better understand user behavior and improve our services.

4. Payment Processing and Third-Party Platforms

We use a third-party membership management system (Novi AMS / Member Compass) to manage memberships, dues, and transactions. Payment information is processed securely through this platform and its integrated payment processors. HBASA does not store full payment card details on our servers.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with trusted third parties only as necessary to support our operations, including service providers such as website hosting, analytics services, and email communication platforms, as well as Novi AMS (our membership platform provider), Mailchimp (our email marketing provider), and Google Analytics (our analytics provider). These third parties are granted access only to the information necessary to perform their services and are expected to maintain its confidentiality.

We may also disclose your information if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests; enforce our policies or agreements; detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of HBASA, our members, or others.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyze website traffic. These tools may collect information such as cookie identifiers, time and date of visits, and pages viewed.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may affect website functionality.

7. Data Retention

We may retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

8. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. Access to personal data is limited to authorized individuals who require it for legitimate business purposes and are subject to confidentiality obligations.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
